The seller said I should go get Super Paper Mario and clicked OK, which I did (with Wii's Wi-Fi off), and it did the job. When I turned my Wii on again and inserted any copied game, it still asked for an update. I turned off Wii's wireless immediately and turned the Wii off. From there, I inserted a copied game (for the first time) and it asked for an update. According to the seller, my US Wii has a Wiikey modchip in it.Īfter playing Wii Sports for the first time, I tried the Wii settings and activate Wi-Fi (for wireless Internet), but declined when Wii asked whether I want to do system update. The alternative is Japanese Wii (which sold for US$100 cheaper), but I can't read Japanese. I live in Asia but bought a US Wii with firmware 2.0(U). This thread is exactly what I have been looking for since I bought my Wii last week.
